Role Summary The Mechanical and Piping Lead oversees the design, compliance, and delivery of mechanical and piping systems for tailings infrastructure in a large-scale mining project.
The role ensures technical integrity, supports contract and cost evaluations, manages engineering resources, and facilitates coordination across stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Ensure design compliance with project and regulatory standards.
Review and approve engineering deliverables and plans.
Support contract scope development and technical evaluations.
Monitor progress, cost, and change control.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders and suppliers.
Promote safety and technical excellence.
Oversee audits and hazard reviews.
Requirements Engineering Degree in Mechanical or related discipline.
Extensive experience in piping and mechanical systems, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
Strong understanding ofdesign standards, HSE regulations , and project execution.
Proven ability to managemulti-disciplinary teams and complex engineering packages.
Excellentcommunication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
