The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-growing business. This position will be pivotal in managing and overseeing our financial operations, bridging the gap between the Financial Controller and our Accountant within our close-knit finance team.

While establishing a strong working relationship with our Financial Controller, you will actively managing day-to-day accounting tasks, becoming proficient in navigating the ERP, autonomously coordinating monthly financial reports, and handling balance sheet reconciliations with confidence. You will also guide and mentor fellow team members while forging working relationships with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Support Functions.

As you continue to learn the business, you will become more involved in business partnering. Your insight and recommendations will help empower the business to improve commercial outcomes as well as drive process improvement and optimisation within our business.

About You

To be the right candidate you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Experienced Accountant looking for their next step
• Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Effective problem-solving abilities for complex financial challenges
• Collaborative mindset, experienced in cross-functional teamwork
• Technical proficiency, including advanced Excel skills and experience with VBA
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and accounting standards
• Ability to provide valuable commercial insights through data-driven analysis
• Expertise in contributing to annual budget processes
• Sound judgment and ethical decision-making in financial matters
• Proficient in financial risk assessment and balancing risk and reward
• Leadership or mentor experience in guiding and developing small finance teams
• Continuous improvement enthusiast with a proven track record
