About the role

As a Senior Accountant with Pitcher Partners, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to a diverse client base.

Further, this role will see you:

  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and activity statements across various entity types.
  • Identify and manage tax issues such as Division 7A loans, CGT events, SBE depreciation, and fringe benefits tax.
  • Provide financial insights, contribute to tax planning, and assist with forecasting
  • Support the management of a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely completion of engagements
  • Utilise Xero and other accounting software to streamline workflows and enhance reporting
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail, self-identify errors, and recommend process improvements
  • Actively participate in professional development and technical training
Who we're looking for

This opportunity would suit a motivated Accountant with demonstrated experience.

  • Bachelor of Business/Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent (essential)
  • CA or CPA qualified or on the way to becoming qualified (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals and/or business entities
  • Experience with Xero and other accounting software solutions
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
  • A proactive, client-focused approach to accounting and advisory services
