Key Accountabilities:Reporting to the State Manager, the Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships across our full suite of mortgage products. The BDM will also act as a business coach to your network of brokers and proactively help, guide, and advise their panel of brokers to achieve revenue targets.
Key Activities:You will be responsible for:
- Providing a delightful experience to brokers and their customers in relation to new loan enquiries, applications, or existing loans.
- Proactively managing a sales funnel and following up sales leads and opportunities to completion.
- Helping educate brokers around all loan opportunities and how it can drive their business growth.
- Supporting broader business initiatives to improve business performance, efficiencies and broker/customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated excellence in business development, sales and relationship management with proven experience in mortgage lending and third-party intermediary spaces.
- Experience in the banking, non-bank and finance industries, specifically within the broker space.
- Current relationships and contacts within the broker market.
- Proven experience in growing a panel of brokers.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets.
- Working knowledge of the banking industry, Australian housing market, and regulatory environment.
- Ability to understand complex industry segments and utilize this understanding to develop initiatives to drive growth.
- Understanding of financial reports and demonstrated numerical and statistical analysis skills.
- Sound understanding of and experience in project management methodologies.
- Self-motivated with a desire to continually exceed expectations and meet targets.
- A strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding performance metrics.
- Strong numeracy, analytical skills, and a focus on attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills backed by a history of providing memorable service, solutions, and advice.
- Confidence in dealing with external stakeholders, including strong presentation skills to individuals and groups of all sizes.
- An ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely.
