Key Accountabilities:

Reporting to the State Manager, the Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships across our full suite of mortgage products. The BDM will also act as a business coach to your network of brokers and proactively help, guide, and advise their panel of brokers to achieve revenue targets.

Key Activities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing a delightful experience to brokers and their customers in relation to new loan enquiries, applications, or existing loans.
  • Proactively managing a sales funnel and following up sales leads and opportunities to completion.
  • Helping educate brokers around all loan opportunities and how it can drive their business growth.
  • Supporting broader business initiatives to improve business performance, efficiencies and broker/customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experiences You'll Bring to the Team:
  • Demonstrated excellence in business development, sales and relationship management with proven experience in mortgage lending and third-party intermediary spaces.
  • Experience in the banking, non-bank and finance industries, specifically within the broker space.
  • Current relationships and contacts within the broker market.
  • Proven experience in growing a panel of brokers.
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Working knowledge of the banking industry, Australian housing market, and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to understand complex industry segments and utilize this understanding to develop initiatives to drive growth.
  • Understanding of financial reports and demonstrated numerical and statistical analysis skills.
  • Sound understanding of and experience in project management methodologies.
