We're looking for an experienced Drafting Manager to lead our dedicated drafting team from our Norwood office. This role is pivotal in guiding the day-to-day operations of the drafting function, ensuring high-quality outputs, client satisfaction, and the professional development of the team.

Responsibilities:

You'll be responsible for leadership and management of the drafting team, working closely with other managers and survey teams across the business. Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead the team by nurturing talent and providing team members with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to excel
  • Manage drafting operations to ensure successful delivery of all drafting projects to the highest professional standards
  • Ensure resourcing and team development are appropriate to meet current and future needs
  • Provide expert technical knowledge to clients on complex projects
  • Contribute at a strategic level to the continuous professional development of the drafting team
  • Draft survey-related plans including Topographic, Architectural, Engineering, and Cadastral plans
  • Review and interpret 3D survey data for CAD plan presentation

What You'll bring:

  • Qualities to lead, develop, and motivate individuals, fostering a high-performing team
  • Expert knowledge of cadastral and land titling processes
  • Expert drafting skills in AutoCAD and preferably with exposure to Liscad and 12D
  • Strong understanding of coordinate systems in a CAD environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and client contexts
  • Strong organisational skills to manage workloads, priorities, and deadlines
