What you'll be doing
  • Collaborating in a team of six Nurse Unit Managers across Queensland to drive excellence in clinical service planning and management
  • Engaging with referring clinicians and services to streamline patient pathways and promote radiation therapy offerings
  • Set SMART performance goals with your team and provide leadership and support to achieve them
  • Participating in recruitment and selection of nursing staff to build a high-performing team
  • Partnering with marketing and liaison teams to support education and awareness campaigns
  • Leading and contributing to project initiatives, including strategic project groups
  • Enjoy two dedicated administrative days each week to focus, plan, and recharge
  • Support staff in education, research, and professional development opportunities
  • Navigate the electronic clinical prescribing system confidently
  • Collaborate with Radiation Therapists, Medical Physicists, Radiation Oncologists, Nurses, and Allied Health to foster a strong team culture and deliver coordinated, high-quality care
  • Promote a workplace culture that values expertise and empowers staff to make a meaningful impact
  • Foster connection, support, and shared purpose in daily practice
Qualifications
  • Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
  • Proven leadership experience with ability to manage people and drive team performance
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with empathy for patients and carers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to quality improvement and NSQHS principles
  • Passion for delivering high-quality patient care
  • Ability to nurture staff potential
  • Postgraduate qualifications or experience in management or healthcare administration
  • Experience in Radiation Oncology
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate change management
