We are an Endocrinology practice located centrally near St Vincent's Hospital, at 55 Victoria Pde, Fitzroy.

We have two consulting rooms, with a maximum of two doctors working simultaneously in the rooms or remotely from home. Currently, we have three part-time staff. Our practice is friendly, and we pride ourselves on making patients and staff feel welcome. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term position.

We are seeking an experienced receptionist for a part-time role, working three days per week. Initially, you will work with one of our experienced receptionists. The role also includes cover for leave and illness, with additional hours paid accordingly.

The role involves:

  1. Sending outgoing letters via electronic messaging and fax
  2. Sorting mail and scanning results into patient files
  3. Maintaining office stationery and basic medical supplies
  4. Handling telephone, email, and in-person interactions as a medical receptionist

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a Specialist Medical Practice
  • Preference for applicants familiar with Genie software
  • A professional approach with excellent customer care and service skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Great organizational skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently at the front desk and support the team
  • Initiative in troubleshooting office technical issues

This is a permanent part-time position with superannuation entitlements. Working hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The salary is paid fortnightly, with an up-to-date payslip provided.

A Police check is mandatory for this role.
