Job Title: Medical Receptionist – Gynaecology & Obstetrics

Location: East Brighton and Malvern, including Work from Home

Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time, 2 days/week, 9AM - 5PM

We are a compassionate and dedicated specialist practice specialising in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. Led by a skilled surgeon and practice manager, we are committed to providing exceptional care in a supportive and welcoming environment. We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. The position offers an immediate start and may cover leave when needed.

Job Description:
As the Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You will manage essential administrative tasks that keep the clinic running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Answer phone calls, emails, and respond to patient inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  2. Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
  3. Process patient accounts and payments.
  4. Scan and maintain patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
  5. Assist with general administrative duties as required.
  6. Coordinate with other healthcare providers when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist, ideally in a Gynaecology & Obstetrics setting.
  • Familiarity with Gentu medical software is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Mac OS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to work autonomously with a fully equipped home office.
  • Compassionate and empathetic demeanour.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not essential.
