We are looking for trade-qualified fitters, light and heavy diesel mechanics, mobile plant or mechanical fitters to join our award-winning team at the Townsville Business Centre. This is a Permanent, Monday to Friday role.

As a Fitter, you will:
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar equipment
  • Assemble Caterpillar equipment
  • Maintain and complete all paperwork related to job completion
  • Use Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi, SIS)
  • Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others, and participation in safety initiatives

About You

A successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification (Automotive Mechanics, Mechanical Fitters, Fitter & Turners, Diesel Fitters)
  • At least 5 years post-trade mechanical fitting experience
  • Disassembly & Assembly experience
  • Computer literacy, including experience with SIS
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • The ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Availability for day and afternoon rotating shifts
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (temporary residents not eligible)
