About Our Client
A proud WA business, our client is a well-established and growing organisation with a strong presence in its market. They have a strong track record of delivering quality products and services to WA customers for close to 50 years. Due to company growth, the business is now looking to strengthen its Finance Executive team.
Job Description
Reporting into the Group General Manager, the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity and optimal allocation of resources
- Provide strategic financial advice to support decision-making at a senior level.
- Lead and mentor a team of 6 within the accounting and finance department (both qualified and transactional finance)
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with external auditors and manage year-end financial processes.
- Communicate financial information into laymen's terms for the rest of the Executive Board.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will possess the following traits:
- CA/CPA qualified
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Big 4/Mid Tier audit/business services training
- Prior relevant commercial experience at either Finance Manager or Controller level
- Outstanding leadership and communication abilities.
