Job summary:

We are Kafe Washoku, a newly opened dining experience at Miranda Westfield Shopping Centre. We offer a mix of traditional and modern Australian Japanese cuisine to the local community. Since our grand opening, we have experienced high demand and are looking to expand our team with talented, friendly individuals. We aim to settle into a routine in the coming weeks and months.

We are committed to hiring local people with a customer- and team-oriented mindset. Our goal is to make our guests feel welcome, cared for, and served to the highest standards.

General work will involve:

  • Food preparation of fresh produce
  • Working on a section in the kitchen to produce high-quality Japanese cuisine (full training provided)
  • Making various types of sushi and Japanese-style dishes (full training provided)
  • Working as part of a team to ensure excellent food quality and service, with the ability to work independently while maintaining standards
  • General cleaning of the restaurant, with pride in all aspects of work

Successful candidates will be able to perform 5 shifts a week as a full-time team member.

Experience in a commercial kitchen is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. We seek motivated individuals who can join our busy team immediately.
