About the role
We currently have positions available for qualified, reliable and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing and domestic duties
- Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
- Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
- Preparing food, feeding clients and administering medications
- Observing, caring and reporting any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
- Responding to emergency situations
- Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- Endorsed to administer medication (desirable)
