TEN Recruitment is partnering with a highly respected engineering consultancy to appoint a Lead Processing Engineer. With a reputation for technical excellence, this consultancy delivers innovative solutions across mining, oil & gas, renewables, and marine projects. In the role of Lead Processing Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing process design and optimisation on major resources and energy projects. You will mentor a team of 8 process engineers, ensuring high-quality outcomes from concept design through to commissioning and operations. This position provides exposure to a wide variety of technically challenging work in both traditional and emerging energy markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and optimise process designs for resource extraction and treatment facilities
  • Perform process simulations, material and energy balances, and equipment sizing
  • Develop and review process documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, and control narratives
  • Lead HAZOPs, risk assessments, and process safety reviews
  • Contribute to feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed engineering deliverables
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor, guide, and manage a team of process engineers
What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Chemical, Process, or related Engineering discipline
  • 10+ years' experience in oil & gas, mining, or heavy industry (consultancy / EPC background highly regarded)
  • Strong capability with process simulation software (e.g. HYSYS, Aspen Plus)
  • Excellent knowledge of industry codes, standards, and safety requirements
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead technical teams
  • High-level communication and client-facing skills
