We are currently recruiting an Engineering Lead on a permanent basis in Darwin, NT for a Global Oil & Gas Offshore Company who specializes in the construction of FPSO's.This role reports to the Technical Maintenance Manager & the main objective of this role will be to provide leadership to the Engineering function, assigning and communicating Engineering task priorities with TMM and Asset Management team and provide oversight of planning, budgeting and cost management.
This is a key position and will be offered on a residential basis, based in our clients Darwin office.Key tasks and responsibilities: Ensuring full compliance with the requirements of the Safety Management System Directly supervise the engineering activities of Engineering staff in Darwin Responsible for the quality of engineering team deliverables Custodian of Mo C and TQ process.
Focal point for Clients engineering team interactions such as technical authority engagements and approvals in TQ and Mo C processes Liaison responsibility for Engineering tasks assigned internally Contract focal point and work scope coordinator for Engineering Services Contract and associated technical support contracts.
Responsible for maintenance and ongoing integrity of engineering documentation and associated software tools, including oversight of technical quality of digital twin Qualifications: Relevant Engineering Degree (Process, Mechanical, Instrument/Control, Electrical).
Relevant post graduate training relevant to Oil and Gas Operations would be highly regarded Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Flexibility, honesty, transparency, and reliability are considered important factors Dependable and reliable with a strong focus on engineering process, including establishing and following rules and procedures Knowledge: Solid understanding and experience in Process Safety principles and associated engineering practices(including HAZIDs/HAZOPS and related processes), Safety Cases, Environmental Plans etc Knowledgeable in use/management of processes utilising engineering software tools Australian resident, preferably in Northern Territory, or eligible to work in Australia On Offer: Professional challenges, career development and growth opportunities.
