Australian Garnet (AGPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Resource Development Group Limited (RDG), is a publicly listed company trading on the ASX. AGPL has been operating a new garnet processing plant, the Lucky Bay Mine, for the past 2 years. Our onsite team is responsible for mining, wet processing, dry and packaging plants, then packing into containers and transporting to Perth. The management team and workforce are directly employed by AGPL. The mine site is located approximately 35 kilometres from Kalbarri, with a mine life of over 40 years. This is an exciting project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising all mechanical maintenance activities on site.
  • Ensuring the mechanical availability of all equipment on site.
  • Communicating regularly with Processing & Maintenance teams within Australian Garnet.
  • Coordinating and planning maintenance work on site, working with the Maintenance Planner.
  • Ensuring compliance with MSIA / MSIR requirements.
  • Overseeing cleanliness and organization of maintenance and site facilities.
  • Ensuring work is done safely, promoting safety awareness among all employees.
  • Managing maintenance costs within budget.
  • Monitoring maintenance performance and providing feedback.

Necessary skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant Mechanical trade qualification or tertiary engineering degree.
  • Current C Class Driver's license; HR license is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Pronto.
