What you'll be doing:
We are looking for a suitably qualified and passionate Organisational Psychologist to help improve mental health outcomes for our 70,000+ volunteers and staff at the NSW RFS. This role will support the ongoing development and implementation of the RFS Mental Health Strategy as well as the service's Psychosocial Risk Management Framework. Working closely with the Manager, Mental Health Strategy and Programs, theOrganisational Psychologist will work across the corporate and operational areas of RFS to understand and improve the control and management of psychosocial hazards, evaluate the effectiveness of current programs and recommend and support change.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
A Minimum four-year accredited sequence of study (postgraduate degree) in Psychology, as well as General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) with a minimum of three years post-registration experience.
Highly developed expertise in Organisational Psychology.
A thorough understanding of current challenges in mental health practice and wellbeing management, ideally in an emergency services organisation.
Endorsement in the practice area of organisational psychology by AHPRA.
Applied experience in implementing programs to support better member mental health and wellbeing outcomes, and management of and controls for psychosocial hazards.
A genuine appreciation and understanding of a volunteer-based community service.
- A current Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel.
