Role

The Senior Pharmacy Technician - Medicines Supply is responsible for supervising staff in the Medicines Supply area (including Pharmacy Stores Officers and Pharmacy Technicians) and ensuring an efficient and high-quality logistics service. The Senior Pharmacy Technician – Medicines Supply supports the Manager – Medicines Supply by overseeing the work of other pharmacy technicians and stores officers. This position is based in the North West Region.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and rostering pharmacy technicians and stores officers.
• Providing training to pharmacy staff.
• Undertaking purchasing and inventory management duties.
• Undertaking the operational duties of the Medicines Supply Manager in their absence.

Details of Appointment

• Permanent full time, day worker position, 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
• Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.
• Statewide duties; occasional intrastate travel may be required; may participate in out-of-hours availability or on-call roster; required to work out-of-hours for annual stocktake.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: $81,995 to $94,263 per annum plus employer's 12% superannuation contribution.
• Salary packaging includes benefits such as living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, subject to eligibility.

Eligibility and Desirable Criteria

• Possess or be actively enrolled in Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance (Hospital and Community Health Pharmacy Assistance) from a recognised institution; or
• Possess or be actively enrolled in Certificate III or IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support; or
• An Associate Diploma or an equivalent qualification relevant to the work of a pharmacy technician.
• Registration/licences essential to this role must remain current and valid; the Employer may verify status at any time.
• Desirable: Current Driver's Licence.
