Assistant Housekeeping Manager – Hamilton Island, The Sundays – We're excited to invite experienced hospitality professionals to join the opening team of The Sundays, a brand-new luxury boutique hotel for families. Your Role

As the leader of the Housekeeping team at The Sundays, you'll play a vital role in bringing the spirit of Sunday—relaxed, joyful, and connected—to life each day. Guiding a team dedicated to excellence, you'll ensure that every room and shared space embodies our ethos of laid-back luxury and warmth. With your leadership, the Housekeeping team will be empowered to deliver a guest experience rooted in care, comfort, and thoughtful detail, creating an atmosphere where guests feel instantly at ease.

From creating high standards of cleanliness and presentation to nurturing a team culture of pride and precision, overseeing housekeeping operations that reflect the unique essence of The Sundays.

Where you'll make an impact
  • Motivate and support the Housekeeping team, establishing a welcoming and positive culture from day one.
  • Manage daily operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services meet luxury standards.
  • Build a strong team through effective onboarding, coaching, and skill development.
  • Oversee room inspections and inventory management, ensuring all areas are clean, organised, and well-stocked.
  • Implement strategies that enhance guest satisfaction and maintain efficient operations.
  • Uphold The Sundays' ethos in all interactions, creating a relaxed and memorable guest experience.
What we're looking for

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the patience to work effectively with team members. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time efficiently are essential in this role.

To be successful, you will need:
  • Previous experience in a Housekeeping Leadership role – Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
  • Strong leadership, communication, training, and team-building skills.
  • Solid understanding of housekeeping and hotel operations.
  • Ability to handle unexpected challenges with poise and professionalism.
  • Passionate about creating positive guest experiences aligned with The Sundays' ethos.
