Security Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Security Analyst to join our Cyber Security team and play a vital role in protecting CAHS systems, data, and people. You will help strengthen our cyber security capability by monitoring, maintaining, and continuously improving security operations across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your expertise in cyber security operations, compliance, and governance while making a meaningful impact on the integrity of systems that support healthcare for children and young people. Your ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders, and translate complex technical issues into clear, practical advice for both technical and non-technical colleagues will be key to success in this role.
We are recruiting for two permanent full-time positions.
Responsibilities- Monitor systems and tools to identify and respond to malicious activity, intrusions, and vulnerabilities.
- Assist with investigations into cyber incidents, including root cause analysis and recommending improvements.
- Support penetration testing, security scans, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to security policies and frameworks.
- Contribute to the development of security management processes, procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
- Provide timely advice, support and guidance to staff, IT teams, and service providers on cyber security risks and best practice.
- Promote security awareness across the organisation and support staff with phishing, scams, and technical security queries.
If you have a strong technical foundation in cyber security, with experience monitoring, analysing, and responding to security threats we encourage you to apply. Proficiency in Microsoft Defender/Sentinel, Cisco, and security monitoring tools and knowledge of Essential Eight and SOCI Act frameworks will be highly regarded.
About Our TeamThe Cyber Security team at CAHS is essential in protecting our digital environment and ensuring resilience against cyber threats. Our primary mission is to protect CAHS' information assets and ensure the continuity of vital healthcare services through robust security practices and proactive risk management, collaboration, and compliance.
We focus on a comprehensive cyber security strategy that emphasises resilience, incident response, and adherence to key frameworks like the WA Cyber Security Policy, Essential Eight, and SOCI Act. This includes crafting policies and controls that meet regulatory standards and embedding governance into daily operations. Our team manages risk by conducting assessments, addressing vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance. Additionally, we promote a culture of security awareness, providing regular training to empower staff to identify and handle potential cyber threats effectively.
