Cybersecurity Analyst | 12-Month Contract

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you'll oversee and secure information systems, applications, and infrastructure across a complex hybrid environment. You'll proactively monitor, detect, and respond to threats, ensuring systems remain resilient, compliant, and aligned with best practices. This is a hands-on, complex role spanning vulnerability management, incident response, DevSecOps tooling, and continuous security uplift - with a strong emphasis on hybrid/multi-cloud and enterprise-scale security controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity controls across enterprise IT and digital services.
  • Manage and optimise security tools including SIEM, endpoint protection, DLP, CASB, XDR, IAM, WAF, and proxies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and threat modelling; develop and execute mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and respond to incidents, working with the managed SOC to investigate and contain threats.
  • Enhance DevSecOps processes to minimise vulnerabilities and improve automation.
  • Continuously improve the configuration and effectiveness of all security technologies.
  • Track emerging threats and proactively strengthen defences.
  • Maintain security playbooks, incident response plans, and compliance documentation.
  • Support audits and assess compliance with frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
About You

Hands-on knowledge of:

  • SIEM and event monitoring (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel).
  • Vulnerability management (e.g., Tenable, Nessus).
  • Endpoint security & XDR (e.g., Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike).
  • DLP, CASB, WAF, IPS/IDS.
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM).
  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade security systems.
  • Skilled in incident response, risk assessments, patching, and remediation.
  • Familiar with DevSecOps practices and securing hybrid/multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud desirable).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
