About the RoleAs a key leader at the WA Police Union (WAPU), this senior leadership role presents an outstanding opportunity for a commercially astute executive seeking to make a meaningful impact within a purpose-driven organisation. You will draw on your business acumen to oversee operations and lead a team of 20 professionals dedicated to serving more than 7,000 members.

Your expertise in operational management will be essential in advancing WAPU's strategic objectives and driving operational efficiency. You will use your business insight to enhance member services, including welfare support, counselling and legal assistance. Additionally, you will ensure the application of best practices in governance, transparency and resource allocation.

About The WA Police Union (WAPU)WAPU represents the professional and industrial interests of over 7,000 police officers, police recruits, cadets and police auxiliary officers employed by the WA Police Force. Covering the portfolios of; Legal, Industrial Relations, WHS, Welfare, Media, Advocacy, Research, Administration and Member Services, WAPU plays a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and ensuring the well-being of its constituents. WAPU is registered with the WA Industrial Relations Commission (WAIRC) and affiliated with the Police Federation of Australia (PFA).

About YouTo be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate strong financial acumen, excellent critical thinking skills and effective stakeholder management experience.

Qualifications and Knowledge (Essential):Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in business, management, accounting, finance or a related field or demonstrate equivalent experience.Bring a minimum of 10 years of management experience at a leadership or senior management level.Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of accounting principles.Understanding of human resources and personnel management.

Qualifications and Knowledge (Desirable):Have an understanding of policing, as well as expertise in risk management and compliance.Possess a commitment to continuous professional development.
