We are a kitchenware and hospitality supplies store based in Richmond. We have a part-time opportunity available for a sales assistant / storeperson. You must be available to work on Saturdays with flexibility in rostered hours mid-week.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Process sales transactions and provide customer service, including assisting with bringing large purchases to customers' vehicles and delivering orders by hand trolley to nearby customers
  • Picking and packing customer orders in a timely manner - in-store purchases and processing of online orders
  • Attend to phone queries and handle customers' returns, queries and complaints courteously
  • Ensure shelves are fully stocked, and maintain order and tidiness to ensure shelves look presentable at all times and stock is correctly labelled and priced
  • Maintaining excellent shop floor standards, by keeping the store clean, organized and presentable
  • Assist with incoming deliveries of stock, checking and storing stock
  • General assistance in the store when and if needed eg. assembling items, helping with store display changes
  • Assist with inventory counts
  • General cleaning & housekeeping duties as required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

  • Previous retail experience will be highly regarded. Given the nature of this role, we require you to be physically fit for manual handling, loading and unloading boxes and to stand for long periods of time.
  • You are friendly, possess a positive energy and approachable attitude.
  • You are highly organized and have strong attention to detail.
  • You are proactive, reliable and have a strong work ethic and ability to prioritize important tasks
  • Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
