About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our crucial support team as an Activity and Lifestyle Coordinator at Nellie Melba Retirement Village in Wheelers Hill. This is a Part Time position working Thursday and Saturday 1300-2000 in our Care Centre Special Care Unit (Dementia).

We love when our lifestyle coordinators use their creative flair to make a tangible difference in the lives of our residents. This is a diverse role, and no two days are the same You will:

Plan, schedule, facilitate and run activities within our village
Ensure our activities calendar meets requirements around physical, mental and social activities
Curate and develop flyers / communications around monthly events
Promote happiness, wellbeing, and quality of life for all residents
Work closely with the broader activities team to ensure our events calendar runs smoothly
Run our resident bingo - it sure is a fan favourite
Assist in the delivery of various workshops, social and craft activities. Anything from bake offs, fashion shows and even floristry demonstrations
Accompany residents on various outings

About You

To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:

Strong empathy
Outstanding communication skills
A creative flair you're not afraid to let shine
Certificate III/IV in Leisure & Lifestyle is desired (but not essential for the right candidate)
We'd also love you to have experience working in Aged care but that's not essential.
