Do you have experience in facility or tenancy management?
We are seeking a Facility Supervisor for a permanent, part-time position (48 hours fortnightly) based at our facility. This is a 'live-in' position that includes providing after-hours support.
The hours will be as follows:
- Week 1: Thursday & Friday
- Week 2: Thursday to Sunday
What you will be doing in this role:
- Undertake tenancy management functions;
- Complete and/or arrange cleaning and maintenance;
- Work effectively and regularly liaise with tenants to ensure their health and wellbeing is maintained;
- Provide assistance and preparation of meals;
- Provide limited on-call assistance to tenants outside 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday to ensure the smooth running of the property, including emergencies out of hours.

You must have:
- Knowledge of issues pertaining to people experiencing homelessness;
- Understanding of relevant legislation including the Residential Tenancy Act 1997 and occupational health and safety requirements, or willingness to develop this knowledge;
- Safe Food Handling certificate or willingness to undertake training;
- Ability to work effectively within a team and knowledge of external support services for tenants;
- Ability to contribute to team activities such as debriefings and program planning;
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks;
- High interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
- Sound computer skills;
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues.

The successful applicant will be required to:
- Provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check;
- Present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people (no older than 12 months) Police Check;
- Provide an International Police Check if residing outside Australia for 12 months or more after age 16;
- Undergo a satisfactory medical assessment by Anglicare;
- Hold a current Australian Driver Licence (provisional or full).
On commencement, the successful applicant will undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
