SCCQ is currently looking for a full-time Gardener / Maintenance Officer / Bus Driver to support our Noosa Waters Retirement Village in Noosaville.

We seek an efficient and friendly individual to work across gardening, maintenance, and bus driving roles at our Noosa Waters Retirement Village in beautiful Noosaville.

About the role

This varied role involves working in gardens, maintaining equipment, and bus driving to transport residents on scheduled outings.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Horticultural and grounds maintenance
  2. Replanting garden beds and seasonal upkeep
  3. Pruning trees and shrubs
  4. Lawn mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control
  5. Clearing garden refuse
  6. Path, drain, and edge repairs
  7. Maintaining fences and retaining walls
  8. Routine repairs and trade-related maintenance
  9. Planning and scheduling machinery servicing
  10. Driving the bus for resident outings when required

To succeed, you should be approachable, reliable, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.

What skills and qualifications are required?

  • Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, or related field (highly regarded)
  • Experience in general and commercial maintenance and gardening
  • Knowledge of trade resources and suppliers
  • Current manual driver's license
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
