Key responsibilities
  • Extensive experience in data engineering and solution design at a senior level, with deep expertise in Informatica (IDMC/CDI, PowerCenter).
  • Strong background working with complex, legacy data platforms (e.g., Oracle, DB2, custom-built systems) and understanding how to integrate, migrate, and optimize them.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, Postgres, and other RDBMS.
  • Demonstrated success in large-scale migration, re-platforming, or modernization projects, especially those involving legacy or batch-oriented data sources.
  • Experience with data modelling (relational, dimensional, operational) and governance (row-level security, column-level security).
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI to surface insights from complex datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience of working within a financial services env.
To be successful in this role you will have
  • Design and implement scalable data solutions using Informatica IDMC/CDI, PowerCenter, and related ETL tools across large, diverse data platforms.
  • Lead solution design efforts for large-scale migration and integration projects, including inventory data analysis, impact assessments, and detailed data flow diagrams.
  • Develop and optimize complex ETL pipelines ensuring high performance, data integrity, and operational efficiency within on-premises and hybrid environments.
  • Drive the modernization and reengineering of legacy data warehouses and ETL workflows (e.g., Oracle, custom platforms) into robust, maintainable architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions that account for the complexities of legacy data sources.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including solution designs, mapping specifications, and workflow designs.
  • Implement robust data validation, governance, and quality frameworks using Informatica IDQ and related tools.
  • Apply CI/CD practices using tools like Bitbucket and GitHub Actions to streamline and automate deployments.
  • Conduct performance tuning of ETL jobs, SQL queries, and batch processes, optimizing resource use across a variety of systems.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to team members, delivering knowledge-sharing sessions on best practices for integrating and modernizing complex, high-volume data systems.
