Costco Wholesale Ipswich Part Time Position - minimum 24hrs per week. Must be available AM / PM, including weekend work.

Job Duties / Essential Functions

  1. Checks cake order stand for special orders.
  2. Checks production schedule for daily needs. Pulls stock from freezer or cooler to fill merchandising area.
  3. Removes product from pans.
  4. Garnishes and packages baked cheesecakes, seasonal pies, and cakes. Processes all cakes following assembly instructions in the Cake Decorating Manual.
  5. Places finished product on racks and transfers racks to the cooler, freezer, or wrapping area.
  6. Keeps decorating area clean and free of debris.
  7. Ensures correct date and labeling are completed.
  8. Follows proper Bakery Department safety and security procedures and standards.
  9. Follows SSOP guidelines for cleaning and sanitation of all equipment.
  10. Completes and complies with the 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification, and all safety training required by warehouse and Bakery Department.
  11. Assists with other bakery duties as needed.
  12. Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
  13. Operates vehicles, equipment, or machinery such as oven racks, wheeled racks, cake slicing machine, calculator, wrapping machine, scales, pan dollies, apricot glaze, cake scorer, spatulas, cake stamps, icing bags, tips, commercial dishwasher, knives, labeller, and mixer.

Qualifications

Education / Training: School Certificate or relevant apprenticeship (Trade Certificate). Cake decorating or comparable experience. Basic math skills.

Licenses / Certifications: None specified.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate various bakery equipment and provide excellent customer service.
