Department Purpose

Our Global Financial Markets (GFM) team operates across a broad spectrum of finance law. We collaborate across practice groups and jurisdictions to help successful companies fund themselves and manage risk.

Our work influences market practices through innovative, high-profile deals, including industry 'firsts' in sustainable finance and digital bonds. We also advise clients on complex funding during economic challenges and act as their first point of contact during market crises.

Role Purpose

We seek an Australian-qualified Lawyer/Associate with 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience to join our Sydney GFM team on a full-time permanent basis. We offer:

Key Requirements

  • 3–5 years PQE (Associate/Lawyer)
  • Experience in Global Financial Markets or International Capital Markets from a top-tier law firm.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and curious with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Clear, concise communicator with attention to detail.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and commercial awareness.
  • Sound judgment and integrity, capable of establishing credibility.
