About The Role

As a Wellness & Lifestyle Therapist you will deliver high quality wellness and lifestyle services to our residents to help them remain physically and socially active and engaged with their loved ones and community.

Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to;

Delivering wellness and lifestyle services and activities that empower and support residents to engage in meaningful activities that align with SCC's Better for life modelEmpowering and enabling residents to maximise and improve their health, wellness and quality of lifeDeveloping strategies and processes that enable residents to take informed risks to live the life they chooseContributing to early intervention programs to develop recovery programs that address lifestyle and wellness declineListening to residents to ascertain that they are satisfied with the wellness services and support available to them

About You

We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;

minimum Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle / Leisure and Health sound understanding of the requirements to support residents in an aged care environment living with dementia as well as those who display challenging cognitive behavioursexceptional communication, organisational and relationship building skillssound problem solving skills particularly when assessing balancing supporting resident's desire for independence and self determination to make their own choices against potential risks and duty of careproficient computer and keyboard skills and the ability to use Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail etc.) and various in-house databases
