As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging activities and individual programs that promote social connection, emotional wellbeing, and enjoyment for our residents.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting the wellbeing of older people through engaging, meaningful activities. They will be able to plan, deliver, and review lifestyle activities that meet individual resident needs, and work collaboratively with clinical and care teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and review lifestyle activities that meet individual resident needs
  • Facilitate group and one-on-one programs
  • Welcome and assist new residents with their transition
  • Advocate for residents and respond to feedback or concerns
  • Monitor participation and maintain accurate documentation
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and care teams
  • Maintain safe, respectful, and inclusive spaces for residents

Requirements:

  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Driver's Licence
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Manual Handling training
  • Understanding of aged care and resident-centred service

Desirable Skills:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or related field
  • Knowledge of dementia care
  • Familiarity with aged care documentation and standards
  • WHS awareness
  • Ability to speak Italian is a plus
