About OMG Newcastle

Over the next three years, OMG UK will be building a 170-person operation in Newcastle. Role Summary

This is a hugely exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new Media Planning team we are establishing at OMG Newcastle, while working closely with the Media Planning team at one of our agencies, OMD UK, part of the world's largest media agency network and is currently AdWeek's Global Media Agency of the year.

The Media Planning team will be built with a real focus on the core craft of media planning, responsible for maximising the effectiveness of each and every plan that we produce through customer-centric planning. They will be able to dedicate their time to creating integrated media solutions that combine in-channel planning craft and cross-channel audience understanding with creativity at their heart.

We're looking for a passionate, confident, self-starting and organised individual who would like to learn about media in one of the very best teams in the industry. You should be excited to learn from day 1, getting to grips with media language and tools that help us deliver the very best work for our clients.

As an Executive in the Media Planning team, you will have a keen interest in media planning, bringing enthusiasm and energy to the role. You will be able to work collaboratively across all agency departments to support the delivery of creative and data-driven planning solutions which retain strategic integrity through to the stages of implementation and delivery, ultimately creating media strategies that differentiate in the marketplace, achieving best-in-class work.

  • Demonstrable expertise in cross-media landscape with channel planning knowledge. I.e. AV, Radio, OOH, Digital (Video, Display, Social & Content)
  • Show knowledge of latest media consumption trends
  • Knowledge of standard media planning industry tools, eg, Plan
  • Understanding of measurement and effectiveness, with ability to link KPI to measurement opportunities
  • Contribute to new business and marketing activities / tasks as and when needed
  • Contribute to wider agency initiatives that drive the education, understanding and application of Media Planning
  • Ability to extract actionable insights from tools and data

Flexible Working

We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two working remotely), to ensure that we meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in-person connections with the flexibility of remote working. Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that's in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
