The Role

Ballajura Community College (CC) is an Independent Public School offering a diverse range of educational programs. The Home Economics (Hospitality and Living) Teacher will provide high quality learning experiences for all students, join a team of professionals, and contribute to a safe, engaging learning environment. The successful applicant should be motivated, student- and relationship-focused, able to deliver engaging and meaningful learning experiences, and capable of using innovative initiatives and effective assessment and reporting methods. The role may involve working within the Design and Technologies (Hospitality and Living) Team across Years 7 to 12 and catering for a diverse range of student learning needs. Experience teaching Year 11 and 12 courses and VET-related Hospitality and Living qualifications would be advantageous.

We are looking for committed teachers who can make a difference and support the College's vision and future direction.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
