The Role

At Infinite Aged Care, Housekeeping Assistants play a critical role in providing quality housekeeping and cleaning services focused on infection control, ensuring a safe and healthy living environment for residents.

Working closely with the Facility Manager and the Hotel Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for cleaning resident rooms, common areas, the main entrance, outdoor entertainment areas, admin offices, and dining halls. You will also provide laundry services and ensure residents' daily needs are met.

This role is physical, requiring bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing items to carry out tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, colleagues, or residents.

About You

You are compassionate, with a customer service mindset, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. You build supportive relationships and strive for high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and order within the facility.

At Infinite Age Care, we hire based on attitude and aptitude. Experience in aged care is not required, but alignment with our philosophy and values, strong communication skills, computer literacy, and a commitment to resident wellbeing are essential. Additionally, you should have:

  • Demonstrated cleaning experience.
  • Ability to follow checklists and safety procedures daily.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals, hazardous products, and heated equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high empathy, as interacting with residents is a daily occurrence.
  • Punctuality and readiness to start shifts positively.
  • A safety-first approach to tasks and supporting colleagues to ensure everyone's safety.
