Some of the functions of a Service Advisor include:
  • Booking clients in for service or repairs
  • Interfacing with the technicians to establish the extent of work required and our parts team
  • Prepare pricing estimates of service repair orders
  • Communicating with customers to explain the work involved, gain their approval to proceed and provide regular updates on the progress of their vehicles
  • Dealing with Service Warranty Claims
  • Working through paperwork to ensure we are complying with Manufacturer Procedures
  • Working closely with the Service Manager and the Workshop Foreman to ensure all jobs are completed in a timely manner
  • Working through customer concerns
  • Banking and some basic administration duties
To be considered for this role, the following skills and attributes are required:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an automotive dealership preferred
  • Sound English communication skills - written and verbal
  • Initiative and a hard working attitude
  • The ability to work unsupervised
  • Professionalism and high standards of personal presentation
  • A friendly and approachable personality
  • Ability to be part of a team
