Our client is a privately owned and operated Telecommunication and Information Technology (IT) Solutions company incorporated in Australia. They provide consultancy and managed services to clients in various fields of Telecommunication and Information Technology.

We are seeking Telecommunication Field Engineers / Technicians to fill full-time permanent roles in Gladstone, QLD.

As a Telecommunication Field Engineer / Technician, your daily duties will include:

  1. Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure environments including voice gateways, Azure virtual desktops, FxLogic profiles, Azure Host pools, virtual private networks, Windows and Linux servers, websites, DHCP, DNS, firewalls, and internet gateways.
  2. Install and manage IT & Network infrastructure equipment including Servers, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points, Phone Systems, Access Control Systems, and CCTV systems.
  3. Migrate, provision, and support Enterprise Ethernet solutions, business internet, hosted SIP lines, cellular voice, and data solutions.
  4. Provide technical support to clients remotely and on-site.
  5. Perform network monitoring, testing, upgrades, and configuration.
  6. Monitor and report on system availability, performance, and security.
  7. Perform system updates outside office hours when required.
  8. Liaise and interface with enterprise service providers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum certifications: Microsoft certifications and Cisco Certified Network Associate.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect and interact with clients at all levels of proficiency.
  • At least a minimum of 1 year experience in telecommunication or related fields.
  • Industry-recognized qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve hardware faults on network peripherals, telecommunication systems, and related devices.
  • Ability to provide Level 2 support for networks, firewalls, routing, switching, and security.
  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment, sharing information and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Working at Heights (for installations involving poles, antennas, etc.).
  • Electrical Licenses (if required for equipment installation).

Salary Rate: $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.
