Clinical Midwife / Nurse Consultant - Nursing and Midwifery Simulation Coordinator at NSW Health. Location: Randwick, Sydney. The Royal Hospital for Women is a multi-faceted tertiary referral and teaching hospital, internationally recognised as a leading centre for care of mothers, babies, and women. It is the only stand-alone women's hospital in New South Wales and is part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) on the Randwick Hospitals Campus. The RHW Simulation Coordinator supports simulation equipment operation and delivers simulation-based nursing, midwifery and medical education. Responsibilities include the development, delivery and evaluation of focused clinical simulation programs; identifying educational needs and collaborating with stakeholders to address them through simulation methodology. The role aims to enhance workforce capabilities in gynaecology, neonatal and maternity care, improve patient safety, reduce clinical risk, and support quality improvement.

• Identify educational needs and collaborate with stakeholders to develop simulation-based education.
• Coordinate and deliver simulation training for nursing, midwifery and medical staff.
• Develop and evaluate simulation programs to improve clinical practice and patient safety in maternity, neonatal and gynaecology care.
• Utilise adult learning principles and evidence-based education strategies.
• Operate and maintain simulation equipment and technology; participate in training for scheduling and reporting as required.

• Current registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse and/or midwife.
• At least 5 years (full-time equivalent) experience with at least 3 years in the relevant specialty; approved postgraduate nursing and/or midwifery qualifications or equivalent relevant qualifications/experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, and ability to prioritise deadlines.
• Experience planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating education using simulation methodologies.
• Evidence of developing education programs incorporating adult learning principles.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with written submissions, reports and Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint).
• Technological proficiency with multimedia and simulation equipment; willingness to complete MHL Scheduler and Reporter training.
