About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Company Manager to lead and oversee our fleet operations. This pivotal role focuses on optimizing transport efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering outstanding service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise the purchase, maintenance, and servicing of transport vehicles, equipment, and fuel supplies.
- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements, provide expert advice on vehicle types, rental or purchase rates, customer obligations, and handle any complaints effectively.
- Receive and manage orders and bookings while planning and implementing efficient transportation schedules.
- Ensure goods are stored and transported in conditions that maintain their quality and integrity.
- Coordinate the timely collection and delivery of vehicles and goods to meet client and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate business records and prepare operational statements, reports, and performance metrics.
- Ensure all transport operations comply with current occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- 1-2 years of proven experience in transport or fleet management.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, compliance, and logistics operations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in fleet management tools and software.
- Relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable.
