About You:

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Transport Company Manager to lead our operations team. This senior position involves overseeing all aspects of our transport operations, fleet management, and business development to ensure optimal efficiency, compliance, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organise, direct, control and review the operations of our refrigerated transport company.
Develop operational policies and procedures for the company.
Monitor fleet operations and implement strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with transport regulations, food safety standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.
Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and other business partners.
Recruit, train, and manage transport and logistics staff.
Analyze market trends and opportunities for business expansion.
Implement and oversee quality control and customer service programs.
Liaise with regulatory authorities regarding licensing, compliance, and industry standards.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Transport Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5 years of experience in transport operations management, particularly in refrigerated or specialized transport.
Strong understanding of transport regulations, chain of responsibility, and compliance requirements.
Proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams of drivers and logistics personnel.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Financial acumen with budgeting and resource allocation experience.
Knowledge of fleet management systems and transport logistics software.
Experience with temperature-controlled transport operations is highly advantageous.
