Join Our Team as a Paralegal

Are you a law student in your second year or beyond looking to gain hands-on legal experience while balancing your studies? Master Builders South Australia is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team two days per week. This is an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in workplace relations and legal administration while working in a professional and supportive environment.

About Us

Master Builders South Australia is the leading industry association representing building and construction in SA. We provide expert advice, advocacy, and professional support to businesses and professionals in the industry.

What You'll Do

As a Paralegal, you will support the Director, Workplace Relations, with legal and administrative tasks, including:

  • Preparing and distributing newsletters and legal updates.
  • Typing and maintaining minutes for committee meetings.
  • Managing the referral of legal matters to external law firms.
  • Opening and closing legal case files.
  • Organising and maintaining the legal filing system.
  • Assisting the Workplace Relations team with legal precedents and document management.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), ideally in second year or beyond.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
