About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team as Village Maintenance Support (Handyman) at Nellie Melba Retirement Village in Wheelers Hill. This is a Full Time position working Monday to Friday 08:30-16:30. The base hourly rate is between $28.36-$28.90.

Our maintenance team are more than just handy people. They work closely with residents and the village team to ensure the safety, repair and appearance of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds. From hanging residents treasured pictures in their homes to undertaking refurbishments within our apartments; the opportunities are endless at Ryman.

This role will be great for someone who enjoys manual tasks around the village such as:

  • Helping new residents moving into the village, including moving of furniture and up to four hours of support setting up their new apartment
  • Collection and disposal of rubbish as scheduled
  • Help to ensure the village grounds and gardens are maintained to a high standard
  • Assisting with inward goods, stock management and stores
  • Promoting a welcoming and caring atmosphere at the village
