About the position

CellSera Australia is part of the Auckland Biosciences group, a multi-award-winning Life Sciences company and an international business supplying high-quality animal products to large pharmaceutical companies across the globe.

We are looking for a Casual Laboratory Technician to join our materials processing team in Rutherford, NSW. Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Daily processing of animal materials
  • Laboratory set up and cleaning
  • Recording and weighing materials
  • Operating lab equipment and machines
  • Loading and unloading the laboratory machine
  • Organising material waste
  • General warehousing duties
  • Packaging and palletising for domestic and international shipments
  • Some activities include lifting up to 15kg

About you:

  • No previous laboratory or manufacturing experience required, but is preferred
  • Must be comfortable handling animal by-products
  • Must hold a valid full driver's licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Must have legal working rights in Australia (Australian Citizen, resident or a valid work visa) – We are not able to sponsor visas for this vacancy
  • Able to manage tasks efficiently and work with a diverse team
