The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Officer to work in partnership with teachers to provide educational services to students. This role requires skilled individuals who can work closely with staff and students in supporting the learning outcomes of the students.
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term or by negotiation.
Key Criteria
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
- Supervise and care for students with formally identified special needs in accordance with Individual Learning Plans (ILP) as applicable.
- Demonstrate practical activities within a variety of routines, methods, and experiences under supervision of teachers where discretion and judgement are required.
- Participate in the evaluation of programs and student involvement.
- Assist with identifying student learning or behaviour challenges.
- Assist in following up student assignments to ensure work is submitted as required.
- Assist teachers with the care and supervision of students during excursions, sports days, activities and other classroom or educational activities.
- Some extra hours and flexibility around hours may be required around special events in the life of the College.
Candidates must possess a:
- Certificate III or IV in Education Support
- Current designated First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to use Microsoft 365
