This is a Permanent Full-Time appointment.

This position provides strategic leadership and direction for the provision of security operations across NMHS, and other identified areas and Health Service Providers. They will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic protective security frameworks, and required risk mitigation, in order to manage security and emergency risks, including workplace violence and aggression and critical incident.

The successful applicant will ensure security services are aligned and implemented to meet strategic organisational priorities and are consistent with relevant legislation, standards, policies and framework. The Area Manager Security reports to the Director Corporate Operations and is a member of the leadership team for the Operational Support Services Division. The leadership team reporting directly and indirectly to the Area Manager Security includes Security Operations Manager, Security Team Leaders, Surveillance and Access Team Leader, Security Systems Administrator and Administrative Support Officer.

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for security operations across NMHS and identified areas and Health Service Providers.

• Collaborate with the Director Corporate Operations and lead the Security Operations Manager, Security Team Leaders, Surveillance and Access Team Leader, Security Systems Administrator and Administrative Support Officer.
