Responsibilities

This role will present product and professional services offerings in the best light to prospects and customers, evoke confidence in DXC System Partners' professional services, leverage your Salesforce platform knowledge and your communication and sales skills to solicit business requirements, develop a solution-based sales strategy, configure and demonstrate solutions, and provide business value. The Solution Engineering team sits between the Sales and Delivery teams at DXC System Partners and provides support to both core business functions; it may also support tender responses and solution demonstrations.

  • Work with organisations across a range of industries to understand their challenges and goals through focused discovery sessions and workshops
  • Build and present customised product demonstrations to business and technical audiences
  • Assist with RFP responses, development of tailored solution designs and other related documents
  • Provide technical and functional direction and input during the sales cycle, including preparation of work breakdown structures
  • Confidently present and articulate the business value of the proposed solution to business managers and executives
  • Contribute to continuously improving the Solution Engineering practice through creating reusable templates, sharing knowledge and building reusable demos
  • Be an innovator who can create new solutions using out-of-the-box thinking
  • Present at marketing events and drive internal and external brand awareness and thought leadership
  • Work with users to formulate and document business requirements
  • Identify, investigate, and analyse business processes, procedures and work practices
  • Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices, and system functionality and behaviour
  • Use project management methodologies to develop project plans and to cost, resource, and manage projects
  • Deploy functional solutions, including creating, adopting and implementing system test plans to ensure quality and integrity
  • Create user and training documentation and conduct formal training classes
  • Develop functional specifications for use by system developers
  • Use data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software
  • Act as a central reference and information source to guide system project decision-making
  • Drive relationships within Salesforce with key Salesforce Solution Engineers
Minimum Qualifications
  • Core understanding of the Salesforce platform with at least 2 years of professional services experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on capturing requirements and use cases, developing a solution and articulating the business value
  • Superior presentation and demonstration skills with a focus on storytelling
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems
  • Experience working across a range of industries and understanding current landscape and opportunities
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments
  • Strong interest in growing your career and participating in internal training programs and mentorship initiatives
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Salesforce Certifications
  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web-based technologies
  • Industry domain knowledge in government, financial services and/or health sector
  • Broad understanding of Cloud Computing and CRM
  • Business Analysis and ROI construction
