
Business Development Manager| ME Bank| WA

Overview: We are looking for a Business Development Manager to establish and grow the ME Bank broker distribution channel, supporting new home loan growth and existing customer retention. You will build strong relationships with accredited brokers and develop a strategic plan to drive business through the ME Bank Broker channel, using both face-to-face and virtual methods. You will work with internal stakeholders including the Broker Operations team, Credit, and Home Lending in Transformation & Operations, and support the execution of our communication strategy with approved aggregators and accredited brokers. You will learn and own the BOQ Group story, have thorough knowledge of all product and service offerings available through the broker channel, ensure the quality of applications from brokers, and train brokers in relevant processes to reduce rework. You will represent BOQ Group at industry functions, events, conferences, and exhibitions, and meet the financial and non-financial objectives of the BDM scorecard. You will support brokers in resolving issues related to customer applications and provide excellent service to the broker and aggregator network.
About You: We are seeking a Business Development Manager with experience in Lending or a background in Finance, Business, or a related discipline. A full driving licence is required. You should have strong knowledge of the Residential Lending process, BOQ Group policies, and general banking operations. Understanding your residential market and competitor products is crucial. You will need the ability to identify acceptable lending risks to meet business objectives. Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining successful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is important. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence are key to succeed in this role.
