Position Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Perth team for a self-sufficient and motivated Senior Electrical/Controls Engineer. Reporting to the General Manager, the Senior Electrical/Controls Engineer will use strategic business knowledge, technical knowledge and experience to be an integral part of the execution of technical projects and the continuous development of tools and systems which create opportunities for projects within the resources sector.

• Electrical and Controls Engineering, taking designs from concept, into completed engineering deliverables.
• Being a key technical leader on EMtek projects and within the organisation as a whole, dedicated to delivering exceptional value to clients through the provision of high-quality solutions that align with project objectives and requirements.
• Providing technical leadership and advice to a growing team of electrical/controls engineers and to the wider EMtek team.
• Support and collaborate with other disciplines and designers to develop designs for a wide range of plant and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a passion for discovery and a commitment to workplace wellbeing and safety. As part of a small, tight-knit team, strong relationship building, and communication skills will be critical in this role.

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering
• 4-8 years of multidiscipline Engineering / Controls experience in the mining and resources sector.
• Exposure to and knowledge of Control Systems in SCADA, PLC and RTU Platforms
• Proven experience as a design electrical engineer (LV, VSD's, Instrumentation etc) able to produce calculations and design documentation
• Practical experience working in construction, commissioning and/or operations in the bulk materials and minerals processing industries is advantageous
• Good presentation and communication skills at all levels.
• Awareness and collaboration across multiple disciplines, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process controls
