About the role

The Coordinator, Domestic Admissions, manages the full lifecycle of domestic admissions, ensuring adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and standards. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and external partners like the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) to align processes and deliver seamless service. The Coordinator also supports continuous improvement initiatives and plays a key role in training and supporting admissions staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing applications, making eligibility decisions, and issuing offer letters for all UNSW College programs, including those received through UAC.
  • Providing accurate advice, information, and interpretation of relevant policies and procedures to applicants and staff.
  • Assisting in configuration, maintenance, and testing of systems used by the Admissions Team, such as StudyLink and UAC.
  • Contributing to process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and align with best practices.
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong customer service culture within a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A relevant degree with extensive experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience in domestic admissions within the tertiary education sector.
  • Ability to manage critical deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-driven attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve results.

Work over the Christmas shutdown and some weekend work is required.
