About the role

Are you a skilled Mechanic with experience in hydraulic and forklift maintenance? Australian Weighing Equipment, a leading provider of high-quality weighing solutions, is seeking a full-time Mechanic / Hydraulic / Forklift Technician to join our team in Dandenong South, VIC. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and servicing of a variety of weighing equipment and machinery.

What you'll be doing

Conduct regular inspections, maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems, forklifts, and weighing equipment Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of equipment Document all work performed and maintain detailed records Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to clients Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment Collaborate with the wider team to implement process improvements

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Mechanic, Hydraulic Technician or Forklift Technician, preferably within the weighing industry Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems, forklifts and weighing equipment Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and diagrams Excellent problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work Effective communication and customer service skills Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
