Your New Role

As the Director, Urgent Care, you will provide senior medical leadership and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care at the minor injury and illness centres in Eight Mile Plains and Meadowbrook. This role combines clinical practice with strategic leadership to enhance urgent care services for the community.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage and develop urgent care services to meet community needs and align with Metro South Health's strategic priorities.
  • Provide expert clinical services, including participation in after-hours and weekend rosters.
  • Drive service improvement, clinical governance, and evidence-based research to strengthen patient outcomes.

  • Demonstrated high-level leadership and decision-making skills within a clinical setting.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland, offering medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care. As a teaching hospital, it supports training for future health care professionals and participates in research through partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools and universities. By 2027, additional beds and birthing suites are planned as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
