About The Wattle Project

The Wattle Project is led by Take Two in partnership with community-based organisations providing service navigation, cultural, and disability expertise to adolescents using family violence in the home (AVITH) across Northeast Melbourne and Hume Merri-bek regions.

The case management component supports young people aged 12–18 and their families, working alongside clinical AVITH services. The Therapeutic Case Manager offers a case management model of support within the family context, using assertive outreach and engagement to address issues related to or resulting from violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the clinical team, including supervision of staff and students, partnership building, and performance monitoring.
  • Manage complex therapeutic cases, conduct assessments, and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Facilitate program referrals through intake consultations and provide face-to-face services across the northern region.
  • Collaborate with young people, families, and care teams to create and monitor safety action plans and achieve therapeutic goals.
Your Skills and Experience

We seek a qualified Senior Therapeutic Case Manager with a Bachelor's degree or higher in a Health or Welfare-related field such as Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy, Speech Pathology, or related disciplines.

  • Experience working collaboratively within the family violence sector, including knowledge of MARAM and Safe and Together frameworks.
  • Understanding of working with families with diverse needs, including CALD and disability (physical, sensory, intellectual, or psychiatric).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Postgraduate training in areas like Adolescent Mental Health, EMDR, or Family Therapy is desirable.
